Inspirit Arts is a fair trade community development project that HUB Member NebSa Maati Ab founded in East Africa in the 80's and moved to Southern Africa in the 90's. She recently re-opened in Ohio to collaborate with the Unitarian Fellowship for World Peace, a secular non-profit organization that educates the public about the plight of displaced persons and victims of armed conflict by using the visual arts to enhance awareness of the need for peace.

NebSa has created stunning gift cards with earrings attached. These beautiful art image cards, different designs of African masks and female portraits, come in different background colors providing an endless variety of earring and card combinations. These earrings are made by displaced African refugees now living in Ohio. The cards with earrings come packaged individually in cellophane bags with envelopes. The end product is used to send a gift of earrings to be taken off the card and worn. The card can then be framed.

Addiction and compulsive behaviour. At the age of 31 Alistair appeared to have lost virtually everything after 17 years of compulsive gambling. The realization of some of the Universal Premises of Love took Alistair from a life of despair to one full of abundance, gratitude, fulfilment and complete freedom from addiction.

Grief. The grief of losing his closest friend aged 25 years. Alistair and Simon were both 4 years old when they met and instantly became 'best mates' and they were 25 years old when Simon died. Business failure. Business success led through fulfilment. Mary's Garden is the story of a little girl who wants a garden in her yard. Her garden grows so well it gives more food than her family and friends can eat. She is aware that there are poor people in her county who don't have transportation. Sometimes, they have to take two or three buses to get to a grocery store.

Mary's garden expands to become an organic produce stand, and then expands again into a building with a vegetarian kitchen and dining room. People come from miles around to eat the delicious food that is served there, grown on the land nearby.

A 21st Century Visionary:

Has tremendous integrity. Beyond keeping their agreements with themselves and others, they answer to a higher Source. They are aligned with their values and usually have a mission, vision, calling and dreams in many areas of life.
Is comfortable with uncertainty, the place where true creation occurs. He or she knows we were created to create and allows the time and space for this to occur. They understand there is deep knowing under uncertainty but they appreciate the value of not knowing.
Has extraordinary faith. They are able to act on what's important to them even without assurance and guarantees. They can walk on faith without knowing the strategy or even clear next steps.
Knows that the secret to enlightenment is to relax. As we relax, our ego (with its agenda, fears and doubts) can slip away or get quiet, allowing for peace. We are left with our essential self, essence or soul.
Practices getting empty in order to hear the voice of the Divine and/or feel this presence. They often create ritual and sacred space as way to invite this in.
Can consciously drop into a deeper place of wisdom, knowing and truth and can ideate/dream, and speak from this place.
Is aware that miracles happen in their own time and is able to wait rather than asserting his or her will or effort too soon. They trust the process enough to let it unfold. They can have a strong intention, yet hold it spaciously.
Is receptive and knows that "give and take" is not the same as "give and receive" and that giving and receiving need to be done in balance. They practice restraint, allowing space for the space where true creation and original thought happen.
Does not live primarily as a problem solver, but more as a creative force. They are aware that it is more powerful to move toward what you want than away from what you don't want, yet they know that both creation and destruction serve.
Has a conscious relationship with the silent witness, the part that can see many points of view, all sides and new perspectives. As a big dreamer, they use their imagination to traverse new terrain.
Knows when to be collaborative and when to be hierarchal. They have the courage, clarity and commitment to share dreams and ideas and empower others to take ownership.
Is crucial to the Dream Movement's ultimate dream, which is to make the world a more whole and abundant place. They know that with one single highly intentional step, the world can and has changed.

John David Mann

John has been creating careers since he was a teenager. At age 17, he and a few friends started their own high school in Orange, New Jersey (called Changes, Inc. - you can read about it in his book, The Zen of MLM). Before turning to business and journalism, he forged a successful career as a concert cellist and prize-winning composer. At 15, he was recipient of the 1969 BMI Awards to Student Composers and several New Jersey State grants for composition; his musical compositions were performed throughout the U.S. and his musical score for Aeschylus' Prometheus Bound (written at age 13) was performed at the amphitheater in Delphi, Greece, where the play was originally premiered.

In 1986 John founded and wrote for Solstice, a journal on health, nutrition and environmental issues; his series on the climate crisis (yes, he was writing about this back in the eighties) was selected for reprint in Utne Reader. In 1992 John helped write and produce the underground bestseller The Greatest Networker in the World, by John Milton Fogg, which became the defining book in its industry and sold over one million copies in eight languages. During the 1990s, John built a multimillion-dollar sales organization of over 100,000 people. He was cofounder and senior editor of the Upline journal and editor in chief of Network Marketing Lifestyles and Networking Times.

John is coauthor with Bob Burg of the Wall Street Journal bestseller, The Go-Giver, and the new companion volume, Go-Givers Sell More. He also coauthored The Secret Language of Money with David Krueger, M.D., A Deadly Misunderstanding with Mark D. Siljander, and the forthcoming Flash Foresight with Dan Burrus. His writing credits in the past few years also include The Answer by John Assaraf and Murray Smith; The Vision Board Book by John Assaraf, The Next Millionaires by Paul Zane Pilzer, and The Slight Edge by Jeff Olson.
